This is cool. Since the heydey of Piazzolla, almost all the new tango bands have either stuck to endless reproductions of the old tango standards, watered tango down with classical music or spun off into undanceable jazz abstraction. With the advent of techno in the 90s, at least we dancers got something new to play with, but most new music is campy club stuff that doesn't get very deep and soon grows old. Tango Crash have found a new angle, bringing traditional, jazzy and electronic mediums together to produce a sort of neo-Piazzolla sound, with–thank god!–original scores!
